How it works
How players earn and spend coins, and how admins run the store.
Open the store
| Way | Default |
|---|---|
| Command | /coinshop |
| Key | F9. Players can rebind it under Open Coin Shop in the FiveM key bindings. |
| Dealership ped | Target the ped at the VIP Dealership |
You change the command and key in config/shared/settings.lua.
Earn coins
Coins are the store's premium currency. Each player has one balance, tied to their license2, so all characters on one account share it.
| Source | How |
|---|---|
| Tebex | The player buys a coin package. See Create Tebex package. |
| Playtime rewards | A reward of the Coins type, claimed after enough minutes on the server |
| Battle pass | A tier reward of the Coins type |
| Admins | Admin Panel > Players, add or remove coins for a player |
| Your scripts | The AddCoins export. See Exports. |
Coin rewards go to the in-game balance only. They are not Tebex credit.
Spend coins
Players spend coins on products in the store. Each product is one of three types:
| Type | What the player gets |
|---|---|
| Item | The item, added to their inventory |
| Vehicle | The vehicle, stored in their garage (see default_garage) |
| Job | The job and grade you pick |
Products can have stock, an expiry date, a purchase limit per player and a discount. Players also spend coins on the battle pass premium pass.
Daily drops
Each player gets three random products at a random discount. They tap a card to reveal it and can buy each drop once. Drops reset every 24 hours. Turn them on or off and set the discount range under Settings > Home.
Playtime rewards
The store counts how long each player is on the server. You add rewards under Admin Panel > Playtime: an item, a vehicle or coins, and the minutes needed. Each reward can be claimed once per player.
Battle pass
Players earn XP from playtime (100 XP every 5 minutes by default) and from daily challenges. Every 1000 XP is one tier. Each tier can have a free reward and a premium reward: an item, a vehicle or coins. Premium rewards need the premium pass, which players buy with coins.
Each player gets three daily challenges a day by default, picked at random from the challenges you create. Players claim a finished challenge for its XP. Challenges count progress when another script calls the challenge export. Two GG scripts send it out of the box: Advanced Bus Job (gg_busjob_complete_route) and Advanced Hunting (gg_hunting_kill_animal). For any other challenge, see Exports.
Dealership and test drives
The VIP Dealership is a ped with a map blip. Players open the store from the ped. Within 10 metres of the dealership, they can test drive vehicle products for 60 seconds. Holding X or leaving the vehicle ends the test drive and returns them to where they started.
Set the location, ped, blip, spawn points and showcase vehicles under Settings > Dealership.
Redeem a Tebex purchase
Coins from Tebex go to the player's balance after payment. If the store does not know the buyer yet, the purchase waits as a code. The player opens the store, clicks Redeem Code in the header and enters their Tebex transaction ID, which starts with tbx-.
Admins and permissions
There are two admin levels.
| Level | How someone gets it | What they can do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Their license2 is in config/server/server.lua | Everything, including Admin Access and the battle pass Manage tab |
| Admin | An owner turns on Admin Access for them under Admin Panel > Players | Everything else in the Admin Panel |
Admins open the Admin Panel from the button at the bottom of the store sidebar. There is no separate admin command.
Admin Panel
| Tab | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Home | Sales stats, recent admin actions and recent purchases |
| Categories | Store categories and subcategories |
| Products | Create and edit products |
| Players | Look up a player, add or remove coins, set battle pass XP, give the premium pass, reset daily challenges, Admin Access |
| Playtime | Playtime rewards |
| Battle Pass | Tier rewards and challenges. Owners also get Manage: reset all players or wipe all tiers. |
| Transactions | Every Tebex purchase, redeemed or unredeemed |
| Settings | See Configuration |
For vehicle products, the Screenshot button takes a picture of the vehicle for the product image. It needs screenshot-basic.
