Configuration
The config files of Go Postal Job, the job lock, pay, package tiers, reward items, the van and the settings owners change most.
Go Postal Job is set up in its config files. It is not in the in-game /ggsettings menu. Edit the files, then restart gg_gopostal.
Where the settings are
| File | What it holds |
|---|---|
utility.lua | Notifications, progress bar, debug mode, and framework, inventory and target overrides |
config/shared/job.lua | The Go Postal location, blip, worker and job lock, the van model and where vans spawn |
config/shared/warehouseData.lua | Warehouse level and pay, material rewards, package props, the teleport points and the warehouse props |
config/shared/deliveryData.lua | Delivery level and pay, the package tiers and their finds, and every drop-off point |
config/shared/vehicles.lua | The van rent and the van colour schemes by level |
config/shared/player_levels.lua | The 15 levels and their bonuses |
config/shared/challenges.lua | The daily challenge |
config/shared/settings.lua | UI and outline colours, blip colours, daily reset time, uniform, popups, payment accounts, leaderboards and the conveyor sound |
config/lang.lua | Every text players see |
core/lib/miniBridge/client.lua | Vehicle keys and fuel |
Lock the job to a job name
By default anyone can work the job. To make it a company job, set job in config/shared/job.lua:
cfg.targetSettings = {
["gopostal"] = {
icon = "fas fa-box",
distance = 2.5,
job = "gopostal", -- your job name; nil lets everyone in
},
}
Only players with that job can then use the worker at the depot, so hiring and firing through your framework or business script controls who can work. The job must exist in your framework.
Pay
| Job | Pay | Setting |
|---|---|---|
| Package Handler | $10 and 15 XP for each package placed on the conveyor | cfg.warehouse.defaults.reward in warehouseData.lua |
| Package Delivery | $70 and 200 XP for each drop-off, times the package tier bonus | cfg.delivery.defaults.reward in deliveryData.lua |
The level bonus from player_levels.lua is added to both. Pay goes to the account in payment_defaults.job_completion in settings.lua.
Package tiers
Each drop-off gets one tier the player has unlocked, picked by its probability weight. Below level 5 every drop-off is Standard Postal.
| Tier | id | Level | Money | XP | Weight | Carrying |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Postal | standard | 5 | x1.0 | x1.0 | 25 | Normal |
| Magazines | magazines | 7 | x1.1 | x1.25 | 20 | Normal |
| Furniture | furniture | 9 | x1.25 | x1.5 | 15 | Half speed, no sprint |
| Electronics | electronics | 13 | x1.35 | x1.75 | 10 | No sprint, most at half speed |
| Art | art | 15 | x1.5 | x2.0 | 5 | No sprint, a quarter speed or slower |
Each tier's props, carry speed (speed_modifier) and can_sprint are in cfg.delivery.package_models.
Reward items
| Where | Setting | How it works | Items |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warehouse | cfg.warehouse.rewards in warehouseData.lua | For each package, one unlocked reward is picked, then given at its probability chance | copper (level 1, 75%), steel (2), aluminum (3), iron (4), rubber (7), 50% each, 1 to 5 |
| Deliveries | loot_pool of each tier in deliveryData.lua | A 30% chance per drop-off (loot_settings.give_item), then 1 to 3 picks from the tier's pool | copper, aluminum, iron, steel, rubber |
Item names are case sensitive in most inventories. Change each item to the exact name your inventory uses, or remove the line.
The van
The van model is deliveryVehicle in config/shared/job.lua ("boxville2"). The vehicle line in vehicles.lua is not used.
Starting a delivery takes rent_cost from the account in payment_defaults.rental. Returning the van through the menu gives it back.
The van changes colour as the player levels up, from cfg.vehicles.upgrades in vehicles.lua:
| Level | Name |
|---|---|
| 6 | Junior Courier |
| 8 | Senior Courier |
| 10 | Lead Courier |
| 12 | Manager |
| 14 | Executive Manager |
Each one sets the primary and secondary colour, tyre smoke, window tint and livery. Below level 6 the van uses default_upgrades.

Vehicle keys and fuel
The job gives keys and sets fuel through core/lib/miniBridge/client.lua. It uses the first key script it finds started, in this order: bhd_garage, brutal_keys, cd_garage, F_RealCarKeysSystem, mk_vehiclekeys, mono_carkeys, MrNewbVehicleKeys, 0r-vehiclekeys, p_carkeys, Renewed-Vehiclekeys, qb-vehiclekeys, qbx_vehiclekeys, qs-vehiclekeys, tgiann-hotwire, vehicles_keys, wasabi_carlock.
Fuel works with bigDaddy-Fuel, cdn-fuel, esx-sna-fuel, frkn-fuelstationv4, lc_fuel, LegacyFuel, okokGasStation, ox_fuel, ps-fuel, qb-fuel, qs-fuelstations, rcore_fuel, Renewed-Fuel, ti_fuel and x-fuel. With any other fuel script, the job sets the game's own fuel level.
