Configuration
Where each Hunting setting lives and what the main settings in settings.lua do.
Hunting's settings are spread over a few files, all inside gg_hunting. Restart gg_hunting after you change one.
Where settings live
| File | What it holds |
|---|---|
utility.lua | Notification and progress bar style, debug mode, framework, inventory, target and dispatch overrides, and the zone editor admins |
config/shared/settings.lua | License, rentals, hunting zones, police alerts, payment types, crossbow, tournaments schedule, meat locker, the lodge outfit and the weapons that count for kills |
config/shared/general.lua | NPC locations, rental vehicles and their carcass slots, shop and sell prices, tournaments, levels, leaderboards, campfire, daily challenges and bounties |
config/shared/animals.lua | Every animal: label, spawn weight, legal or illegal, weight range, XP, level, butcher kit tier and rewards. Also baits, the animal tracker and butcher kits. |
config/shared/traps.lua | Trap animals, trap baits and the trap and motion sensor props |
config/lang.lua | Every text players see |
core/lib/miniBridge/client.lua | How Hunting gives vehicle keys and sets fuel on rentals |
base/core/open/server/hooks.lua | Your own license check and hooks for kills, gathering, purchases and sales |
base/core/open/client/hooks.lua | What happens when a player without a license opens a hunting menu |
utility.lua
| Setting | Default | What it does |

admins | example entries | Who can use the zone editor |
Detection takes the first supported resource it finds installed, even a stopped one. If you have two inventories or two targets in your resources folder, set the override so Hunting uses the one you run.
