Installation
Install Hunting and its props resource, add the items and weapons, add yourself as an admin and start it in the right order.
1. Download the resources
Download gg_hunting from your Cfx.re portalOpens your granted assets filtered to it. Sign in with the Cfx.re account that bought it.Open portal Download gg_hunting_props from your Cfx.re portalOpens your granted assets filtered to it. Sign in with the Cfx.re account that bought it.Open portalExtract both into your server's resources folder. Keep the folder names gg_hunting and gg_hunting_props.
gg_hunting_props comes with your purchase. It streams the hunting rifle, the crossbow, the bears, wolf, leopard and horse, and the bait props. Hunting does not work without it.
2. Install the dependencies
You also need your framework, a supported inventory and ox_target or qb-target. The full list is on the overview.
3. Add the items and weapons
Hunting uses 84 items, including the hunting rifle, the crossbow and their ammo. Add them to your inventory with the exact names, and copy the item images: Items.
4. Add yourself as an admin
Admins can open the zone editor. Open gg_hunting/utility.lua and put your own identifier in admins:
admins = {
["license2:your_license_here"] = true,
}
Find it in txAdmin: open Players, select yourself and copy the identifier that starts with license2: or license:.
Important The file ships with example entries. Remove every entry that is not yours: anyone in this table can edit your hunting zones.
Players with the admin permission on QBCore or Qbox are admins too. On ESX, add yourself to admins.
5. Start the resources
Add the resources to server.cfg in this order. Skip lines you already have:
ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib
ensure qb-core # or qbx_core / es_extended
ensure ox_inventory # your inventory
ensure ox_target # or qb-target
ensure gg_hunting_props
ensure gg_hunting
Start gg_hunting after your framework, inventory and target, and after your keys, fuel and dispatch scripts, so it can detect them.
The database tables are created on the first start and the 15 default hunting zones are added. The server console shows [gg_hunting] 15 zones seeded into gg_hunting_zones.
Check it works
- Join with at least $510 cash and go to the Hunting Lodge blip, southwest of Paleto Bay.
- Talk to the farmer at the lodge. Hunting asks you to buy a hunting license for $500. Accept.
- Open Hunting Supplies, buy a
Hunting Mapfor $10 and use it from your inventory.
The map opens and shows the active hunting zones. If the server console shows a RESOURCE NOT FOUND box instead, see Common problems.
