How it works

Where players start, how a towing shift runs, groups, police impounds and the commands.

Where players start

Players go to the Tow Yard blip and target the attendant. The options there are:

  • Tow Yard opens the job menu.
  • Swap Uniform puts on the work uniform (when clothing_enabled is on).
  • Complete Job hands in a finished contract.

The job menu has six pages: Overview, Progress, Work, Shop, Compete and Leaderboards. Players with a gg_towing_tablet can open the contracts tablet anywhere by using the item.

A shift

  1. On Work, rent a truck. The deposit comes from your cash and the truck spawns in the yard with your keys. Your level decides which trucks you can rent.
  2. Claim a contract from the pool. Each contract shows its level, the truck type it needs and its pay.
  3. Drive to the GPS marker and do the work:
    • Roadside call-outs (flat tire, fuel, overheated engine, oil): target the vehicle and pass the skill check. Each one uses up its supply item, such as gg_tow_tire.
    • Winch recovery: attach the tow rope (gg_tow_rope) from the Service Truck and pull the vehicle clear.
    • Flatbed contracts: lower the bed with the towing remote (gg_towing_remote), attach the tow hook to the vehicle, reel it in and deliver it to the drop-off point.
  4. Go back to the attendant and choose Complete Job. Pay, XP and any item rewards go to you, or are split across your group.
  5. When you are done, return the truck on Work. The deposit comes back, reduced by the truck's body damage.

A contract that runs past its time limit is cancelled. If the rented truck is lost or deleted, the rental and its contract end, and the deposit is not refunded.

Trucks and contracts

Service Truck1$250Roadside call-outs and winch recoveries
Flatbed3$500Roadside call-outs, tows, repossessions, illegal parking, dealer deliveries, police impounds
Flatbed XL6$1,000Everything the Flatbed does, plus utility fleet and military tows

Winch recoveries need the Service Truck.

Groups

Players can work as a group. The leader rents the truck and claims contracts. Group members get the truck keys when group_keys is on, and pay is split when split_pay is on. Invites lock once the group has a rental.

Progress and rewards

  • Every contract gives XP. Higher levels add a money and XP bonus to every payout.
  • The daily challenge pays a bonus after five contracts.
  • The Compete page runs a weekly competition on completed contracts. The top three win cash and XP.

Police impounds

Players with a job in police_impound.jobs (default police) can send a vehicle to the impound:

  • Target the vehicle and choose Request tow truck, or
  • Stand within 8 metres of it and type /requesttow.

Only player-owned vehicles qualify. The request appears as a contract in the pool. When the tow driver delivers it, the vehicle is deleted and marked as impounded in your garage table (player_vehicles.state = 0 on QBCore and Qbox, owned_vehicles.stored = 0 on ESX).

Commands
