Phone app setup

Every supported phone gets Speaker Connect automatically through gg_lib. Only JPR Phone and RoadPhone Pro cannot add another resource's app by themselves, so you install it into them once, by hand.

The files are in gg_speakersystem/!SETUP/Manual Phone Setup/, one folder per phone.

#JPR Phone

Use the files in !SETUP/Manual Phone Setup/JPR Phone/.

1. Open jpr-phonesystem/configs/main_config.lua. Paste the three blocks from 1. main_config.txt into the matching tables: the entry into Config.AppStoreApps, and one line each into Config.AppLabels and Config.AppSizes. Keep the other entries.
2. Copy gg_speakersystem.png into jpr-phonesystem/html/img/apps/.
3. Open jpr-phonesystem/html/index.html and find the block that starts <div class="app-calculadora">. Directly above it, paste the contents of 2. index.html, at the same level as the other app- blocks.
4. Paste the contents of 3. main.css at the end of jpr-phonesystem/html/css/main.css.
5. Restart jpr-phonesystem, then gg_speakersystem.
6. Open the phone and install Speaker Connect from the App Store, under Custom Apps.

To have it on new phones without a store download, also add gg_speakersystem to Config.DefaultApps with a free home-screen slot. Phones that already exist keep their saved home screen, so on those it stays in the store until installed once.

#RoadPhone Pro

Use the files in !SETUP/Manual Phone Setup/RoadPhone Pro/.

1. Copy gg_speakersystem/web/dist/audio-icon.svg to both of these, renamed:

   roadphone/public/img/Apps/light_mode/gg_speakersystem.svg
   roadphone/public/img/Apps/dark_mode/gg_speakersystem.svg
   

2. Open roadphone/public/static/config/config.json. Add the object from app.json as one more element of its AppStore array, with a comma between elements. Do not replace the whole file.

3. In server.cfg, start roadphone before gg_lib and gg_speakersystem. Restart all three after saving.

4. Open RoadPhone. Speaker Connect is already installed.

#If the app opens to a black screen

The app is in place but its page did not load. Check that gg_speakersystem is started and that gg_speakersystem/web/dist/audio.html exists. In the pasted code, keep ?phone=jpr-phonesystem or ?phone=roadphone at the end of the address: the app needs it to talk to your phone.
