Common problems

#Players cannot fit or remove car tablets, or speaker items do nothing

Since 1.0.5 the items go through gg_lib, which must be 1.0.18 or newer. With an older one, the server console prints a red [gg_speakersystem] line on start naming the version it needs. Download the latest gg_lib, replace the whole gg_lib folder and restart the server.

#FPS drops near cars with tablets, or some tablet screens stay blank

Update to the latest Speaker System. Players outside a car now see a still picture on its tablet, so their PC no longer draws the screens of cars around them. Keep Live Screens Outside the Car off on the Advanced page (the default). Coming from a version older than 1.0.5, replace both gg_speakersystem and gg_speakersystem_props.

#A player wants speakers and car tablets off for themselves

They type /speakers. It turns speaker music and car tablet screens off for that player only, and typing it again turns them back on. The choice is saved on their PC, so it stays after a relog.

#A player crashed near speakers or car tablets

One crash without a crash file cannot be pinned on the script. FiveM writes one even when nobody clicks save: ask the player for the newest .dmp and its .dmp.gamelog from %localappdata%\FiveM\FiveM.app\crashes, and whether a car with a tablet or a playing speaker was close by. Send them to us in the Discord.

#Speaker Connect is missing on JPR Phone or RoadPhone Pro

These two phones cannot add the app by themselves. Install it once by hand: see Phone app setup. Every other supported phone gets it automatically.

#The console says gg_lib found no supported inventory

No inventory was running 15 seconds after the script started. Start your inventory before gg_lib and gg_speakersystem in server.cfg, then restart the server.
